Course Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program at Lamppost Healthcare LLC is designed to prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes needed to provide safe, compassionate, and effective basic care to patients and residents in healthcare settings.

The program combines online live instructor-led instruction, hands-on skills training, and clinical experience to help students develop the competencies required of an entry-level nursing assistant. Students learn how to assist individuals with activities of daily living, promote patient safety and comfort, communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals, and recognize and report changes in a patient's condition.

Hands-On Skills Training

Students will have opportunities to practice essential nursing assistant skills in a skilled nursing facility. Hands-on practice is designed to help students develop confidence, accuracy, safety awareness, and appropriate professional conduct before providing care in a clinical setting.

Clinical Experience

The program includes supervised clinical training that allows students to apply classroom knowledge in an actual healthcare environment. Under appropriate supervision, students will practice providing basic nursing assistant care while maintaining patient safety, dignity, privacy, and respect.
